3:30 PM Depart, return to hotel by 4:00 PM

WEDNESDAY 10/14/26 - 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Extended Day Nashville to Chattanooga and Back

(Chattanooga is in Eastern Time adding 1 hour)

6:00 AM Depart hotel with Civil War guide

9:00 AM Arrive at Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, private guided battlefield tours begin

11:00 AM Lunch break

5:00 PM Tour ends, depart Chattanooga, dinner stop along the way

8:00 PM Return to hotel

"The main points would be, from the perspective of the Union forces, (1) Orchard Knob, (2) Sherman's abortive effort to access Missionary Ridge via Tunnel Hill, (3) and the base of Missionary Ridge (looking up from where the Confederate rifle pits were). From the perspective of the Confederate forces, looking down from their positions along the crest of Missionary Ridge. A view from Lookout Mountain could be kind of cool as well, but this would be a bonus and not needed compared to the rest."
